Banana Republic relaunches Classic W and M fragrances

Renewed with the essence of modern style and sophistication, Banana Republic is getting ready to reintroduce their new redefined Classic W and M fragrances as announced today, February 4, 2013. The new packaging hawks its inspiration to the sleek and sophisticated lines that are the hallmark of the the trademark tailoring of Banana Republic as well as the demand for the beloved M fragrance that was originally introduced back in 1995.

The perfumes which were developed by perfumer Jean-Claude Delville will be contained in its own signature bottle as well as packaged in paper white square boxes with the insides all in black with their respective logos. Also each perfume will now don a black cap that originated from the stylish urban couple that originally inspired the fragrances. The boxes and fragrances are meant to keep up with the philosophy and exquisite craftsmanship that is the hallmark of Banana Republic. At this time, Banana Republic is the only scent that features body products and also will be introducing a Classic Body Wash.

"We are excited to celebrate our legacy fragrances with striking new packaging and bottle designs. I was instantly inspired by the clean lines in our apparel collection as well as the crisp scents of the fragrances themselves," says Banana Republic Creative Director & EVP, Simon Kneen. "Classic and W have consistently been our strongest performing fragrances and we are delighted to reintroduce M to complete our iconic fragrance fleet."

The W fragrance was originally developed in the 1990s will boast top notes of sparkling citrus, wet green leaves and pink grapefruit. Mid notes will consist of honeysuckle, white magnolia and water lily and end with dry notes of amber, sexy musk and blonde woods. The M fragrance will boast top notes in lime, bergamot, and wet green leaves with lavender, sage and violet leaf in the mid notes and end with dry notes of white musk, tonka bean and sandalwood LMR.

Each bottle will be available in two sizes, 1.7oz/50ml which will retail at $35 and 4.2oz/124ml which will retail at $45. The body lotion and body wash at 6.7oz/200ml will retail for $19.50 at all Banana Republic stores worldwide.
