Banana Cream Pocket Pies

Wilton's mini pie press makes it easy to bake tiny pocket pies, and even easier to eat them. Just cut, fill, cover and bake. Make it easier by using refrigerated pie crust and fill with your favorite ingredients you already have in your fridge. Try cauliflower, broccoli and cheese for a simple savory sandwich. Or try out a homemade pizza pocket using marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese and your favorite pizza toppings. Another favorite is a taco pocket with ground beef, cheddar cheese, salsa and more.

Sweet pies are also easy to make and bake. Use jellies, jams, seasonal fresh fruits, creams and puddings to make a delicious dessert pie. Try out the recipe below for a yummy mini banana cream pocket pie.

Banana Cream Pie Filling:

  • 1 ½ bananas
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup corn starch
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

Roll out your pie crust and use the mini pie press to cut out the right size (2 per pie). Coat the sides of the pie with egg wash (this will help them stickk together). Then, fill with the pie filling recipe above, add a few thin banana slices on top. Bake for around 20-25 mins at 400 degrees on a baking sheet.

Top with whipped cream or ice cream.
