I think we can all agree that too many people have easy access to too many guns; which as we have seen is creating a very serious problem in our society. Guns are increasingly being used in violent crimes such as school and other public shootings.
How many innocent children have to die before we give up a very dangerous piece of equipment called a gun. Guns are not necessary to own in this day in age. If you're worried about your protection, or insist on having access to a weapon for the sole purpose of self defense, consider purchasing a taser, taser gun, knife, or a bottle of pepper spray.
Hunting is not only cruel to animals, but it plays a major factor in the shooting deaths of humans. In fact, according to the International Hunter Education Association, 1,000 people in the United States are accidently shot as a direct result of hunting. That's simply too much. But hunting plays an even larger role. Hunting exposes children to the sickening notion that it's okay to kill an innocent being for fun. Because every student school shooter in the United States history has had a history of hunting and other forms of animal abuse, we believe hunting may actually put students in the mindset to kill their peers for trivial reasons.
While the Global Conservation Group certainly is a huge defender of both human and animal rights, the second amendment of the United States Constitution is being misused and misunderstood. Having the right to bear arms does not necessarily mean you have the right to own or have access to a firearm, but rather that you have the right to defend yourself and have access to objects that can assist you in your protection; not necessarily meaning a gun.
By banning guns in the U.S. - there will be less school (and other) shootings, less innocent children will have to die, and fewer animals will be taken away from their families.
