Bambu Station releases new album to give reggae music a breather

In search of some conscious and uplifting reggae? Then check out the band, Bambu Station. The band is from the Virgin Islands and they have been in the reggae music industry for over twelve years. A group that is popular for recording conscious reggae music, Bambu Station captures the struggle of modern day life. In a time when reggae music is undergoing a musical flux, Bambu Station plays a reggae music that is without the cultural filter.

In their previous work, the band has a list of successful albums that include Congo Moon, One Day, and Breaking The Soil. Besides those highly regarded albums, the band has since then, released another new album that is titled Children of Exodus. For the album, the band has just wrapped up a promotional gig.

The first single from the album is titled Leaning On Afreeka and the song has a conscious message. It really has become normal for their fans to expect these messages in the band’s music. The commercial reggae on television is ‘pop’ of culture. The band seems to create a reggae music that is ‘culture’ without the ‘pop’.

The album, Children of Exodus, comes in a long line of other great albums from the band. The Leaning On Afreeka single can now be downloaded from the internet. For those who are interested in catching Bambu Station on tour, just check on their website for any upcoming live performances.
