There is a Christian community website dedicated to those who just want to pray. It has no sermons, no politics, and no advertisements.
The only thing on the agenda is prayer. Individuals who are willing to commit to praying for their block, city, county and or region can sign up to do just that.
www.baltimoreprays.com is a Christian based community website not affiliated with any specific church group or culture but is available to the body of Christ. It allows the participant to select and stand proxy in prayer for a concentrated part of the city. The site is user friendly and even provides interactive colorful maps to help you get started.
This prayer site is based on the Bible book
Nehemiah. A leader and
cup bearer for the King of Persia Nehemiah had a burden for Jerusalem. His initial focus was the reconstruction of the demolished city wall which turned out to be a precursor to God's ultimate plan of spiritual restoration for the people. In order to do this first step in a timely and equitable manner he assigned everyone to build the portion of the wall directly in front of their house. Inevitably Jerusalem was restored. What a genius plan!
The ministry of prayer is vital to the Christian's relationship with Christ. It's good to get in your prayer closet but the bible says we should do more (
I Thess. 5:17). This is the body of Christ not a denomination not a specific race but the body. Why not humbly go before God on behalf of the same street you may be afraid to walk down. This is a powerful opportunity for an all inclusive submission to a great God.
Please read about the coming prayer gathering:
