Baltimore Welcomes the Sun with Flowers

It is May, a month long awaited after such a harsh and cruel winter. In Baltimore this year 2014, the weather did not want to get out of the 50's; this played havoc the perennials and the Boston Ferns that peeked out in April.

With so much going on: Annexation in Crimea, scandal in the NBA, it is time for sun, smiles and flowers! Leading up to Mothers' Day, Baltimore welcomed the Flower Mart at Mount Vernon. Jasmines signaling sweet love, Violets of loyalty and devotion, not to forget Salvia Blue: thinking of you.

It has always been said "say it with flowers", whether it is bouquet, placed in a vase of water, as the petals open up with bright hellos on your dining tables, or budding plants in the freshly refurbished flower garden.

From me to you I offer red and yellow roses, laying gently on layers of sage. Love on a bed of wisdom.
