Thursday: Sunny and warm with a high in the middle 80s.
The extended forecast calls for clouds and sun on Friday with a chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm. The low will be in the upper 60s and the high will be in the lower 80s. Mostly cloudy on Saturday and Sunday with occasional thundershowers. The low will be in the upper 60s and the high will be in the lower 80s.
Unseasonably mild conditions for late July with occasional cloudiness and filtered sunshine. Temperatures this afternoon are struggling to reach 75 degrees in Baltimore and Washington. Low pressure in southeast Canada will continue to produce a counter-clockwise flow of cool air over the Middle Atlantic states through Wednesday. Consequently, we can expect similar conditions on Wednesday. The day will begin with thermometer readings in the mid to upper 50s inland to the lower 60s near the bay and in downtown areas. The record low at Baltimore is 56 degrees set in 1997. The record low at Washington is 56 degrees set in 1914. Sunny and more summer-like weather is anticipated for Thursday and Friday with highs rebounding into the mid 80s. The upcoming weekend is looking wetter as a frontal system will stall out over the region and produce occasional thundershowers.
