Baltimore restaurants get ready for a Rockfish Celebration

We had Oyster Week earlier this year and now it is time to gear up for a Rockfish Celebration.

Rockfish just happens to be Maryland’s state fish and is also know as striped bass. It has an olive green back, fading to light silver on its sides, with a white underside. Seven or eight dark, continuous stripes run from head to tail.  The Rockfish is lean and have a mild, sweet flavor.

From February 17 – 28 participating Baltimore restaurants will have special Rockfish dishes on the menus.

Participating restaurants include:

  • Centro
  • Charleston
  • Cinchaile
  • Diamond Tavern
  • Grille 700
  • La Scale
  • Lebanese Taverna
  • Maisy’s
  • McCormick & Schmick’s
  • The Oceanaire
  • Phillips
  • Pickles Pub
  • The Prime Rib
  • Regi’s
  • Roy’s
  • Ryleigh’s Oyster
