Sports Authority Field at Mile High will be the site for game one of an NFL playoff Saturday double-header, as the Baltimore Ravens visit the Denver Broncos.
Opening kickoff for this AFC Divisional battle is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. EST (2:30 p.m. MST) and it’ll be broadcast live on CBS Sports.
According to the latest NFL playoff odds, the Broncos [-10] remain a double-digit betting favorite against the Ravens [+10]. NFL playoff predictions specialists believe that these teams will combine and score an OVER/UNDER total of 44 points and money-lines go as follows: Ravens [+325] vs. Broncos [-410].
For Baltimore, this team has shown a tendency to build off of dominant performances, which is something that will play a huge role in today’s outcome. Now, while they mat not have enough weapons to actually stun Denver this evening, I believe they can do enough to affect and have an impact in the point spread category.
Last week against Indianapolis, Joe Flacco & Co. racked up a total of 441 yards: 172 rushing and 269 which game through the air. Looking at the Ravens’ latest ATS betting trends, we see that this team is 4-1 in their last 5 contests after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
That statistic will come in handy tonight, as it shows that as a unit, Baltimore will not be demoralized when Manning successfully picks apart the defense during his pre-snap reads.
The other concern for those looking to take the Ravens in this game is: How will the underdogs fare playing in the infamous thin air of the Wall Street of the West?
It’s no secret that going on the road and having to take down Manning and the Broncos will be no easy task. Having that said, the visitors’ recent ATS track record indicates that they’re no strangers to these types of situations.
Over the last few seasons, Baltimore has a 9-4 record in playoff road games, which is of course a testament to their ability to play solid defense and run the football effectively.
At the end of the day, I do believe that Manning and the Broncos will prevail in this game. Nevertheless, I do not see this Ravens’ defense laying down and quitting against anyone, and especially not in Lewis’ final NFL game.
