The major league baseball season is winding down and the Baltimore Orioles are still fighting to earn a spot in the post-season. The team’s potential future major leaguers will begin playing games in the Fall Instructional League at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota from September 16 through October 8.
The Fall Instructional League program is designed to provide players with individual development and additional playing time to accelerate a player’s progress through the major league club’s minor league systems.
Instructional league games will be played on the Main Field at the Ed Smith Stadium complex in Sarasota where the Orioles hold spring training in February and March. Parking will be available in the East Lot at no charge. There is also no charge to attend the games. Fans should use the East Gate to enter the ballpark.
