Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings- Blake wins volunteering Super Bowl bet

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings- Blake is known for being a great leader. She is also an avid Baltimore Ravens fan. In addition to attending Ravens games and wearing purple, she painted Baltimore buildings purple during the Ravens Super Bowl run. The 2012 Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens have kept her very busy. She has participated in friendly wagers with the mayors of Denver, Boston and San Francisco. When the Ravens defeated the Denver Broncos, Denver’s Mayor Michael Hancock had to do Ravens LB Ray Lewis’ famous dance. When the Ravens defeated the New England Patriots, Boston Mayor Thomas Menino had to give promised food to Mayor Rawlings- Blake. Mayor Rawlings- Blake donated all the food to a Baltimore area homeless shelter.

When the Ravens won the Super Bowl, Mayor Rawlings- Blake won a day of volunteerism. San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee will be hosted by Mayor Rawlings-Blake for a day of service with Americorps. What a great win for the city of Baltimore and all football fans. Volunteerism is essential to our society and allows everyone to pay it forward on a regular basis.
