Baltimore kids 101: What is the Maryland Science Center

The Maryland Science Center is an amazing collection of scientific displays set up for kids to test theories and become junior physicists, chemists, and more!  Favorite spots for the kids include Newton's Alley, Dinosaur Mysteries, Your Body, and Space Link. There are an array of great exhibits and special programs available.

The Science Center is located in the heart of Baltimore at the end of the Inner Harbor.  The address is 601 Light Street, Baltimore, MD 21230.

Their hours of operation for the Spring (March 29, 2010 - June 20, 2010) are the following:
Monday - Friday: 10 AM to 5 PM
Saturdays: 10 AM to 6 PM
Sundays: 11 AM to 5 PM

For the Summer months (June 21, 2010 - September 5, 2010) their hours are the following:
Tuesday - Thursday: 10 AM to 5 PM
Fridays: 10 AM to 8 PM
Saturdays: 10 AM to 6 PM
Sundays: 11 AM to 5 PM

Membership is available to make visits to the Science Center FREE and tickets to an IMAX show only $4.00. 

General Admission is $14.95 for adults (ages 12-59).  Children (ages 2-11) are $11.95 and Seniors (60 and up) are ($13.95).  For $4.00 more per admission ticket, a visitor can see one classic IMAX film. 

Or you can go for one classic IMAX film alone for only $8.00 per ticket (same for all ages).  Premium IMAX movies are $12.00 per ticket.
