Spring is a time that creates greater awareness of the natural world. We notice the pleasant sounds, bright colors, and sweet floral scents. It is a wondrous sensory feast. Wild animals abound from robins to rabbits letting us know life has returned. It is time to get outdoors and have fun!
“Signs” of Spring
On Sunday, April 7 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Irvine Nature Center is offering “Signs” of Spring, a program suitable for all ages. Pre-registration is required as walk-ins are not allowed.
“Signs” of Spring is free for members and $10.00 for non-members. You can register online by clicking here, and to become a member click here.
Learn basic sign language as you hike the trails of Irvine Nature Center. According to the website, “Using signs for spring things; we'll take a nature walk and learn about this beautiful season”.
What You Need to Know
The Irvine Nature Center is located at 11201 Garrison Forest Road in Owings Mills across from Jemicy Upper School (click here for directions).
It offers many learning activities for children, families and adults. Families can enjoy hiking, while children will have fun with hands-on activities. Adults can enjoy seminars, classes, sales, and other events.
Admission to the Irvine Nature Center is free, although some programs require a registration fee.
The Nature Center is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday, and the Nature Store is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday as well as 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It is closed New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
