It's nice to hear that Baltimore City is aggressively promoting to students in its high schools the variety of college financial aid options that exist to fund students' higher education.
Many parents and students still feel that if they are to go to college and afford it, the only option is a public university. Yet, with federal, state, and private sources of aid, not to mention, many private colleges looking to attract diverse students with the use of large scholarship awards, going public is often not the most economical way in which to earn an undergraduate degree.
