Looking for things to do with your children this week? Don't miss out! Here's what's happening in the Baltimore / Central Maryland area this week.

All Week Long:

*Curious George is monkeying around at Port Discovery (from 2/6/10 - 6/6/10).
*Last days for Joshua's Journey at Port Discovery with exhibits to show kids the life of a black cowboy on the Chisholm Trail. (1/17/10-4/5/10).
*GPS Adventures (from 2/10-4/18/10) is the current traveling exhibit at the Maryland Science Center where kids go on a fun treasure hunt using GPS technologies.
*The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is now open!
*Tickets still on sale for Thomas the Tank Engine in Baltimore at the end of April. 

Events for the week of Monday, March 29, 2010 to Sunday, April 4, 2010:
(Note that Baltimore and Anne Arundel County schools are on Spring Break this week)

Monday 3/29/10:
*Turn your living room into a grocery store or clothing store to celebrate National Mom & Pop Business Ownership Day!

Tuesday 3/30/10:
*Celebrate National Doctor's Day!
*Celebrate Take a Walk In The Park Day!
*Preschool Story Time at 11:00 am at the Maryland Science Center with the price of admission.

Wednesday 3/31/10:
*Celebrate Bunsen Burner Day!
*Celebrate Cesar Chavez Day!
*Barnes & Noble in Frederick has a special Easter themed storytime for free at 10:30am. 
*Wonderful Wednesddays at Port Discovery.  A whole day devoted to special activites for kids ages birth to kindergarten.

Thursday 4/1/10:
*Celebrate Maundy Thursday (Last Supper)
*Celebrate April Fool's Day!
*The Money Game at Port Discovery from 10:30 - 11:30 am teaches kids good money management skills through a game show program.
*Japanese MINWA performance by the New Moon puppet theare 1-2pm at Port Discovery.

Friday 4/2/10:
*Celebrate Good Friday.
*Celebrate International Children's Book Day!
*The Easter Bunny comes to the B&O Railroad Museum for breakfast and a few train rides.  Tickets for the Breakfast with the Easter Bunny need to be purchased in advance.  Contact Dana Kirn at 410-752-2462 x 221 to purchase tickets.  You can take a special train ride with the Easter Bunny at 11am, 1pm and at 3pm.  Photos can also be taken with the bunny.
*MD Zoo in Baltimore celebrates Easter Friday, Saturday & Sunday with Mary Sue Candies' Bunny BonanZOO (games, activites, entertainment & a visit from the Easter Bunny) from 10am - 2pm free with paid admission. 
*Nano Days at the MD Science Center Friday 4/2 and Saturday 4/3 ONLY.  Learn about nano technology at this special exhibit open 12-4 both days.

Saturday 4/3/10:
*Borders Books locations in the Baltimore area invite you to their Spring-tacular fun event at stores at 11am.  This free event includes a mini parade, crafts and fun,
*The Irvine Nature Center of Owings Mills has a family nature walk for $2 from 12 to about 12:45pm.   Or try Natural Egg Dying from 2-3pm for $12.  Slide on over at 6pm to watch Happy Feet for FREE (drinks and popcorn included).
*MD Zoo in Baltimore celebrates Easter Friday, Saturday & Sunday with Mary Sue Candies' Bunny BonanZOO (games, activites, entertainment & a visit from the Easter Bunny) from 10am - 2pm free with paid admission.

*The B&O Railroad Museum will be closed for the holiday.  Many other Baltimore attractions will be open for the day.  Call in advance to be sure.
