Baltimore children's activities week of 3/1 - 3/7/10

Looking for things to do with your children this week? Don't miss out! Here's what's happening in the Baltimore / Central Maryland area this week.

All Week Long:

  • GPS Adventures (from 2/10-4/18/10) is the latest and greatest traveling exhibit at the Maryland Science Center.
  • Celebrate Women's History Month at the B&O Railroad with special exhibits showing the contributions women have made to the railroading industry.  This is a month-long event.
  • Wear those uniforms! Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts get $1.00 off admission to the B&O Railroad Museum all month long.  This is a great deal for families and small groups.  Large groups should call for group pricing.

Events for the week of Monday, March 1, 2010 to Sunday, March 7, 2010:

Monday 3/1/10:

Get your tickets to see the Easter Bunny at the B&O Railroad Museum.  Tickets opened to the general public today for this annual event.  The Easter Bunny will be there April 2 and 3.

Tuesday 3/2/10:  

Half price tickets at the B&O Railroad Museum.  Open 10am - 4pm.

Preschool Story Time at 11:00 am at the Maryland Science Center with the price of admission.

Wednesday 3/3/10:

Toddler Time at B&O Railroad Museum at 10:30am.  Special activities just for the little ones.  Free with admission.

Thursday 3/4/10:

Special guest, The Rope Warrior, brings us Ropenastics - Rope Jumping in a Whole New Dimension at the Woodlawn Library at 7:00pm.  Free. 

Friday 3/5/10: 

Celebrate National Women's History Month at the National Aquarium's Cultural Series event titled "Global Women's Celebration' free with admission (it's still only $8 to get in on Friday's after Five).  Special performances showcasing art, music, dance and more all night long from 5:00-9:00pm.

Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland movie opens in theatres nationwide including the Maryland Science Center's IMAX.

Saturday 3/6/10:

Visit the National Museum of Dentistry off Greene St in Baltimore for Dentist's Day.  Open Saturdays from 10am - 4pm.  Admission is only $7 for adults, $3 for kids (3-18 years old), under 3 for free.

Family Fun Night at the YMCA!  Free admission to the Y for the whole family at the Randallstown location from 6:00pm - 9:00pm.  Have some snacks, use the gym, swim in the pool! 

Sunday 3/7/10: 

Spring Ahead! at the National Aquarium in Baltimore for a one day special event all day from 10am - 3pm.  Free with price of admission.  Learn about amphibians as they awaken from the winter and get ready for the spring.
