Baltimore boat show coming later in the week

The Progressive Insurance sponsored Baltimore Boat Show is coming to town later this week.

Held at the Baltimore Convention Center, the Baltimore Boat Show will be held January 23rd thru the 26th.

The show is primarily focused on power boats, trawlers, small craft, etc, but they have had some sailboats in the past.

The show features seminar's on boating, safety, maintenance, etc, as well as a plethora of vendors and exhibitors.

This year also features some celebrity appearances such as the following.

"New! Meet R.J. and Jay Paul Molinere, stars of History Channel's Swamp People

R.J. Molinere, Jr. and his son Jay Paul hunt alligator together as family and best friends, and have done so all of their lives. They are active members of the Houma Nation, a Louisiana state-recognized tribe of approximately 17,000 citizens residing within an area encompassing 4,570 square miles along the southeastern coast of Louisiana. R.J. is also a championship arm wrestler and Jay Paul is a Golden Gloves boxing champion.

There will also be fun activities for kids, fishing activities, a crab picking contest, and boat simulators for the entire family to enjoy.

The convention center is located in downtown Baltimore, just blocks from the tourist friendly Inner Harbor, which features shops, restaurants, an aquarium, and the Maryland Science Center.
