She felt a tugging on her heartstrings and was compelled to write. Thus began the journey of author Tammy Drayton, who just released her first book entitled, 'A Peace of Poetry'. This writer was granted an interview from Ms. Drayton as she participated in a literary exchange held on August 27, 2014.

Tammy Drayton was born in the Baltimore area and attended Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School. After that, she pursued a degree at Towson University in the area of Psychology. Drayton said she has written for thirty years, but had never written a book before. She said she kept feeling a nudging and felt it was God telling her to write.

She is heavily influenced by God, her children, family members and friends. According to Drayton, 'A Peace of Poetry' is a collection of poems that are inspirational and has been in the making for a very long time. Each individual poem has come collectively together to create a powerful mastermind of a book and is able to captivate and identify many aspects of life and can piece together and discern the moves of the enemy with gospel instructions on how to get out of the web of the enemy.

Drayton is currently working on another collection of poetry to be entitled, 'The Mighty Outpouring',due out next year. She may be contacted at her website apeaceofpoetry.org or at ubeloved1@comcast.net. 'A Peace of Poetry' is available on www.Amazon.com.
