Three sopranos known to the Washington, D.C. area and internationally for their immense talent will be among the impressive roster of artists at the African American Art Song Alliance Conference at the University of California at Irvine this week. Sopranos Carmen Balthrop, Lisa Edwards-Burrs and Marquita Lister will join alliance by founder Dr. Darryl Taylor in California, joining other noted scholars, artists and performers from across the country and abroad, February 9-12.
