Baldwin's wife sued after yoga class goes wrong

Baldwin's wife sued? The latest news about pregnant Hilaria Thomas, the wife of actor Alec Baldwin, is that the flexible yoga teacher is being sued over an unfortunate incident that took place during a yoga class she taught last month. According to a Feb. 17, 2013 report by the New York Post, a 32-year-old yoga student named Spencer Wolff " . . . ripped open his left leg and foot after he lost his balance and crashed into a sixth-floor window while performing a handstand at Yoga Vida near Union Square on Jan. 15."

Wolff, the man who sued Baldwin's wife, is a blogger for the Huffington Post and a fourth-year Ph.D. student in comparative literature at Yale University who holds degrees in law from Columbia and the Sorbonne in Paris. He is also an experienced yoga practitioner.

The unfortunate incident allegedly happened because overcrowding forced him to perform a handstand near a window, which he struck when he toppled sideways while performing the handstand. Blood reportedly poured from his leg after glass from the shattered window cut him in at least five places. Sadly, his injuries may leave him with a permanent disability.

Wolff sued Baldwin's wife for allegedly putting students in a position of "extreme danger" by letting them "exceed a safe and/or maximum allowable number of persons." Hilaria Thomas accompanied Wolff to Weill-Cornell Medical Center, where he was treated after the incident.
