The Bakersfield Burrito Project feeds the homeless and those in need every Sunday at Weill Park in Bakersfield from 12 noon to 2 p.m. They rely on donations, and on the volunteers from the community to help in preparing, serving, and handing out the food and other items that have been donated.
Currently the Bakersfield Burrito Project is collecting items especially to give out on Easter Sunday to our homeless community.
You can drop off donations at 930 Truxtun Ave Suite 110 Bakersfield, Ca 93301 directly across the street from Rabo Bank Arena. Between 8 a.m to 11 a.m.until March 29.
Suggested donations:
- Easter Candy
- Goody Bags or Ziploc bags, sandwich size
- Cookies, preferably individually wrapped
- Bottled water
- Brown Paper bags
You can contact the Bakersfield Burrito Project directly at bakoburritoproject@gmail.com or if you want to volunteer, just show up and pitch in! This is a great volunteer opportunity for high school students who need to round out their community hours for graduation!
