Baked salmon recipe

If you're intimidated by cooking fish, I'm here to tell you that it can be really easy.   This salmon recipe can be whipped up in less than 30 minutes.  Salmon is a healthy choice because it is loaded with Omega 3 fatty acids.  The American Heart Association recommends eating fish at least twice a week.  Omega 3 fatty acids are important to incorporate into your diet for a healthy heart.  This salmon dish is also baked rather than fried which is not only healthier but easy clean up!  Serve with a side of rice and steamed veggies for a delicious and heart happy dinner.

Salmon with Dill Chive Sauce

  • 3/4 c. low fat mayonnaise
  • 2 TBS. lemon juice
  • 2 TBS. fresh dill, chopped
  • 2 TBS. fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 4 4 oz. salmon fillets, thawed if frozen
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil

Place salmon on a broiler pan.  Brush lightly with olive oil and season lightly with salt and pepper.  Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.  Meanwhile mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, dill, chives, onion powder, and salt in a small bowl.  When fish is done baking place on a plate and drizzle sauce on top of each fillet.  Serves 4.

I should have known you'd be the one who came up when I searched for "baked salmon" recipe. Planning to tweak the sauce, and pair with a Saison beer. Delicious!
