Here’s a new venue with a traditional Baja twist to the foods being served. SOL Cocina in Newport Beach is grilling meats and seafood with a hint of mesquite in the kitchen. Enjoy your meal overlooking the harbor as the kitchen prepares dishes and flavors of the day.
Lunch selections were tough to make a choice, but we got through them, starting with the Warmed Goat Cheese, coated in salted peanuts with a sweet hot chipotle. The Chorizo and Mushroom Conqueso was delicious, just outstanding and it didn’t stop there. We also ordered the Coconut Calamari to finish our taste samplings.
If you’re a margarita lover, there’s a new kid on the block. SOL Cocina has put together some amazing combinations adding spice and tang, pouring a delicious cocktail.
Taco Tuesday starts at 4 PM till closing and there’s live music from 6 PM to 10 PM.
