The British equivalent to the Oscars airs tomorrow night. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTAs) celebrates all things film even though the organization as a whole hosts several awards ceremonies throughout the year celebrating television, film and gaming. Typically, the BAFTAs film results mirror the outcome of the Oscars but this year that won't be the case.
Argo is expected to continue winning streak with Ben Affleck nominated for Best Actor and Best Director and Argo nominated for Best Film. Most likely Affleck will lose to Daniel Day-Lewis for Best Actor but Affleck will win Best Director and Best Film, a feat which is impossible to duplicate at the Oscars since Argo is only nominated for Best Film there.
Les Misérables will probably take home the outstanding British Film beating out Skyfall and Anne Hathaway will win for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Les Mis. You can also expect Christoph Waltz to take home Supporting Actor for Django Unchained and Jessica Chastain to win for Best Actress.
