Who would have thought America would ever see the day when Ted Nugent cannot even be rightfully declared the craziest of the wannabe cowboy rockers?
Take the crazy, unrestrained anger of Ted Nugent, combine it with the eagerness to make Nazi comparisons of Ben Stein, and ad in a dash of deliberate self-delusion of the same variety as Clint Eastwood just for good measure.
That's what you'll find in the diseased little brain of Hank Williams Jr.
For over twenty years, Williams was only known as the mildly annoying blowhard shouting "Are you ready for some football?!" that opened for broadcasts of Monday Night Football.
Then everything changed; the song stopped being used, and Hank Williams Jr. became a household name, due to an appearance on Fox & Friends.
Why anyone was asking for his opinion on politics in the first place is bewildering enough, but in a stunning turn, Williams actually managed to come up with something that made even the nimrods of Fox & Friends uncomfortable.
When asked of a private golf game held between Barack Obama and John Boehner (during which they were presumably negotiating), Williams infamously said of the meeting that "That'd be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu."
When asked to elaborate, Williams could do little except declare that President Obama and Vice President Biden were "the enemy."
As a result of his statements, ESPN dropped Williams from the next Monday Night Football broadcast, replacing it with the National Anthem.
To which Williams responded with the following:
"After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision. By pulling my opening Oct 3rd, You (ESPN) stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and All My Rowdy Friends are OUT OF HERE. It's been a great run."
Ignoring the fact that the First Amendment doesn't require other citizens or private entities (like ESPN) to provide venues for opinions they disagree with, Williams' response to being fired essentially sums up as "You can't fire me -- I quit!"
But Williams wasn't done providing liberal comedians with fodder. Shortly after his termination, Williams recorded and released a song called "Keep the Change," in which he blasted the Obama administration, ESPN, and Fox & Friends.
Apparently, to Hank Williams Jr., everyone in the world is to blame for his idiocy, with the sole exception of Hank Williams Jr.
But he still wasn't done. While performing at the Iowa State Fair, Williams' delved into politics again. And it was for the statement he gave at this event that Williams truly earned his spot as the #3 most wanted celebrity know-nothing:
"We've got a Muslim for a president who hates cowboys, hates cowgirls, hates fishing, hates farming, loves gays, and we hate him!"
Mr. Williams? Besides that last part about you hating him, do you have proof of any of this?
Of course not. Because Hank Williams Jr. doesn't need proof, not when he can magically make it become a reality by the force of his will alone.
