#1: Dave Mustaine
Here he is ladies and gentlemen. Look upon him and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is a man who has no soul.
Like Pat Boone and Donald Trump, Dave Mustaine, front man for the band Megadeth, also refuses to accept that President Obama was actually born in the United States. In an interview with radio host Alex Jones, Mustaine said of Obama "With all of the proof about his birth certificate being fake. And you see the signs in Kenya that say 'the birthplace of Barack Obama.' Hello?! C'mon, guys. How stupid are we right now?"
It might have been amusing to take a moment to answer Mustaine's question and describe just how stupid he really is.
It would not, however, because for ridicule to be amusing, the subject has to actually be aware that he is being ridiculed.
And for Mustaine to be aware that he is being ridiculed, there would still have to be some shred of humanity left within him.
As unfounded, unhinged and completely irresponsible as is the belief that President Obama was born in Kenya, it was ultimately not crazy enough for Mustaine.
If you are presently taking heart medication or are using an asthma inhaler, you are strongly advised to make sure it is available to you on short notice before reading further or playing the accompanying video clip.
In August of 2012, during a performance in Singapore, Dave Mustaine actually said the following:
"Back in my country, my president is trying to pass a gun ban," he said. "So he's staging all of these murders, like the Fast and Furious thing down at the border and Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there. And now the beautiful people at the Sikh temple."
Then because that still was not crazy enough for Mustaine, he added "I don’t know where I’m gonna live if America keeps going the way it’s going because it looks like it’s turning into Nazi America."
Let me repeat that: Dave Mustaine accused President Obama of staging the mass murders at the Aurora, CO movie theater and the Oak Creek, WI Sikh temple.
There are no words in the English language with the capacity to sufficiently describe how downright infuriating this is.
It's barely worth pointing out that, apart from the expired assault weapons ban, Obama had never proposed any gun control legislation, or that the shooter at Oak Creek was a known white supremacist.
It's barely worth it because Dave Mustaine has no soul. The only way he could possibly have allowed himself to believe this nonsense would be by disavowing it completely.
To justify their childish hatred of President Obama, Donald Trump and Pat Boone reinvented him in their imagination as a fraud. For Dave Mustaine to rationalize his feelings, he had to reinvent Obama in his imagination as a mass murderer.
That is deplorable beyond words.
As was the continued tolerance that was shown for Mustaine. The other members of his band should be made to explain why he is still in the band with them. Everyone at the concert should explain why they did not immediately walk out to demand their money back.
Rick Santorum should explain why he did not immediately disavow Mustaine. A representative of the record company carrying Megadeth's albums should explain why their contract did not immediately go through the shredder. And every venue at which Megadeth performed after these remarks should provide a press release explaining why they do not deserve to be permanently boycotted.
And if anyone out there shares Dave Mustaine's view that Obama is staging mass shootings as an excuse to confiscate guns, they must immediately produce their birth certificates.
Not because there are any doubts about where they were born. It's their humanity that is nonexistent until proven otherwise.
