#2: Michele Bachmann
As unforgivable as the infotainment instigation by Louie Gohmert and Steve King may have been, they still do not even begin to hold a candle to that of their closest colleague, Michele Bachmann.
Even paraphrased, Bachmann's record of pandering and instigating is astounding to behold.
Bachmann called for domestic oil and natural gas exploration, first in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and later in the Florida Everglades, even though, in the case of the latter, there was absolutely no evidence that there were any significant reserves to be found in the area, leaving Bachmann with the only possible motivation of wanting to destroy something she knew the Democrats would fight to protect.
Bachmann was one of the first to call attention to Obama's obscure connections to Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright, saying of the associations that she was "very concerned that he may have anti-American views."
On March 26th, 2009, Bachmann introduced a resolution calling for a constitutional amendment to bar the dollar from being replaced by a foreign currency. Replacing the dollar had never been proposed, or even suggested up until that point by anyone (except for Bachmann's conservative allies looking to resurrect the gold standard), meaning the legislation served no purpose except to insinuate to the contrary.
In June of 2009, Bachmann fed into ACORN conspiracies by claiming that they might have been a part of the Census Bureau's door-to-door information collection efforts.
Bachmann said she wanted Minnesotans "armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back."
She also contributed to the "death panel" controversy and accused bioethicist Ezekiel Emanuel of supporting euthanasia even though he is best known for his opposition to it.
Bachmann complained that a trip by President Obama to Asia would cost the taxpayers "$200 million a day," a number that she never even so much as attempted to rationalize.
Along with fellow wanted instigator Steve King, she introduced the aforementioned Bachmann-King repeal, stating that "is our intent in our heart to make sure that Obamacare is completely repealed."
Bachmann also called on the G.O.P. House to not provide funds for the implementation of the act, and even vowed to vote 'no' on all continuing resolutions to fund the government unless the Affordable Care Act was explicitly killed.
"I am vowing to vote 'no' on future Continuing Resolutions to fund the government unless there is specific language included to defund Obamacare and rescind the funding that has already been appropriated. Defunding Obamacare, along with defunding Planned Parenthood, must be non-negotiable planks in our budget negotiations."
Bachmann also joined up with Louie Gohmert to send letters over the "serious security concerns" about what Bachmann called a "deep penetration in the halls of our United States government" by the Muslim Brotherhood.
With such an extensive record, referring to Michele Bachmann as an obstructionist or an instigator almost seems too kind. Based on everything she has done, it would almost seem more accurate to call her an anarchist.
