Bad news - always good for Obama

It is no revelation that the worse things get, the better it turns out for Barack Obama. With each new incident of bad news, everybody stops to take notice (progressives by design, conservatives by distraction), and the campaigner-in-chief is able to shirk all of yesterday's dirt and have it swept under the rug with little notice. As if taken from some cheap dime store novel, these unexpected but welcome developments, large or small, provide the teflon executive his opportunity to slip out the back.

For the mainstream media, this proves to be a great convenience as well. It equates their hero's previous inadequacies to irrelevancies of the past, therefore making them easier to deem non-newsworthy, especially in the wake of newer things that must be afforded appropriate spin for public consumption. But regarding a previous president and a recent candidate for that office (each of another party and color), even the smallest non-transgression (like the creation and use of words such as evildoers or binder) is lumped in with everything else the networks have already hyped up with an ideological zeal on steroids.

Welcome to the new and ugly America - its metamorphosis nearly complete, unless the oily Obama feels he still hasn't astounded salt of the earth types enough. Still, the desired tipping point has been achieved. The most liberal American president is realizing his vision for the citizenry of the United States as a blissfully uninformed majority, now the nation's willing and rabid mob (thanks to a quixotic news industry buried in absolute denial).

For four long and stressful years, Barack Obama has stumbled over himself with chronic non-leadership, poor economic and foreign policy decisions, a pathological disdain for being president to all of the people, and unprecedented class warfare and divisive rhetoric to cover the woeful results. And the media, even after providing immeasurable, pro bono campaign advertising for two presidential elections, is still immune to any inclination of evolving into true journalists.

The very first amendment (protected by the second now under attack) will soon enough be in the Obama administration's sights as the next freedom casualty. That is probably of little consequence. Network news has done nothing to honor an independent and free press, opting instead for idol worship and a limitless tolerance for non-production.

Take a brief look at Barack Obama's oft forgiven body of work in one tumultuous term.

The $865 billion overhaul in 2009 was a bust for creating jobs. Unemployment went over 9% and stayed there for three years, and the economy barely pulsed above flatline in regard to growth. That was all but forgotten with the audacious and purely partisan passage of the completely unpopular Affordable Healthcare Act of 2010 (to be funded mainly by those who already had a healthcare program).

That atrocity, which is hardly affordable at all, went seemingly dormant with the Arab Spring and Obama's non-vetted alliance with unaffiliated rebels of whatever cause in whatever country, but most of which fell in line with the intolerant dogmas of the Muslim Brotherhood. Those numerous bad judgments faded away with the cronyism and wasted tax dollars invested in green companies like Solyndra, then the tragedy of a federal agent killed by guns allowed into the hands of Mexican cartels by the US Justice Department with the ill-conceived and completely illegal program known as Fast and Furious.

Sprinkle in two crazed mass killers in Arizona and Colorado, and the attention to Obama's failures on all fronts continued to be deflected at the pleasure of the White House. And the media's follow-up to the real national issues was either non-existent or akin to the attention span of a critically autistic child. Debt ceiling uncertainties followed. Barack Obama took no active role in problem solving, holding out instead for additional fiscal ruin for future generations.

In the home stretch for re-election, Mitt Romney routed the as usual unprepared incumbent in the first debate. The pet media started to get antsy for the first time, especially in the wake of the inexplicable standdown in the face of a terrorist assault on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya which killed four Americans, including the ambassador. This was stonewalled for so long that it took a natural disaster named Sandy to get the attention off it. (Especially since the YouTube video cover-up was believed only by certain pundits whose legs tingle at the thought of their emperor with literally no clothes). Once again all of it became back burner material which, given enough time, always defaults into a perceived national forgiveness.

The lifelong devotee to socialism was then re-elected. Moral people may never gain any satisfactory answers, let alone corrections, to the rife corruption, the blatant cover-ups and certainly not the chronic waste that are the trademarks of Obama's Washington.

In the post-election aftermath of the hurricane, it even became evident that the Obama administration was not the godsend to the people of New Jersey and New York, as nationally advertised by a frothing media. The victims of the storm in fact spent long uninformed days without food, water, electricity and transportation (and were freezing to boot).

Obama simply went on with a planned vacation after his pictures were taken making the rehearsed promises. But before any objective coverage could get any groundswell about the lacking federal aid, along came the horrific event of Newtown, Connecticut. Opportunity knocked again, and Obama redirected the scant bad press and middle fingers at lawful gun owners and the hallowed 2nd Amendment. His support mob and whoring media, on cue, fell in step quickly as always.

No matter how onerous any late-breaking news item may be, it is insane how this president continues to benefit from it. There is an uncanny dissolution of any ongoing criticisms that may be getting uncomfortably close enough to put a dent in his manufactured persona, which is all he cares about.

Barack Obama is not a talented magician by any means. But any success he achieves portraying himself as a straight-up guy with the American people is nothing short of political voodoo.
