Bad Brains launch ‘Hardcore Hot Sauce’ (Video)

Music appreciation is shown in many ways. Most fans are content with buying a band’s discography and a couple of t-shirts, while some show their dedication with tattoos. Some bands are finding innovative new ways to market themselves—Weezer’s signature Snuggie comes to mind. The latest punk trend appears to be hot sauce—after all, would you really want to wear a Black Flag Snuggie? On second thought, that would be pretty awesome.

On Friday, Punknews announced Bad Brains’ state of the art “hardcore hot sauce,” which is aptly named “Fire Burn Babylon.” The bottle is described as, “…a punky reggae party in every bottle. Dr. Know and Darryl Jenifer have combined the perfect combination of heat and sweet that will surely start a mosh pit in your mouth, we don’t call it ‘hardcore for nothing,’ so don’t be shy, give it a try, it’s guaranteed to Rock for Light!”

If you’re a spicy food aficionado who doesn’t mind starting a mosh pit in your mouth, Fire Burn Babylon is a good start. If you're looking for a veritable "wall of death," The Offspring’s Dexter Holland came up with his own hot sauce in 2009.

As usual, Punknews readers have come up with plenty of funny comments. A stand out response comes from loki13, “I can wait to try this while blasting tunes with my Motorhead headphones! punkproductplacement.org,” prompting another reader to promote Green Day's official boxers.
