Bad Boys 3 is in the works and waiting to come to a theater near you, according to a report from CBS News today. The announcement was made on Wednesday, August 13 by bad boy Martin Lawrence on the hit show Conan. Martin elaborated when Conan asked him about the possibility of an upcoming third installment. He responded:

"I believe so. Yes. I just talked to Jerry Bruckheimer. He said it's real, they're working on a script, they're close and it all looks good."

Michael Bay is rumored to be the director for the latest Bad Boys movie. It is written by Peter Craig and David Guggenheim. Casting is still underway but will most likely include Martin Lawrence and Will Smith as detective Marcus Burnett and detective Mike Lowrey, according to Variety.

With all the talk of preparing script outlines and treatments, it would be best to wait until we hear filming has actually begun before we let the excitement fully kick in. This highly anticipated comedy thriller is sure to make Bad Boys fans happy after so many years.

The original Bad Boys movie came to the big screen in 1995, with Bad Boys 2 debuting in 2003. Fans dispute which Bad Boys movie they liked better---some stating that the original can't be topped, while others say that Bad Boys 2 was the best.

In any event, the chemistry between Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will make this upcoming movie more enjoyable than ever since both have the talent to bring out the funniest parts in each other.

The comedy cop-action movie will no doubt serve up a mixture of humor, intrigue and thrill as the best friends and bickering duo catch the bad guys. But, be prepared for some intensely violent scenes laced with loads of profanity. Bad Boys 3 has a release date of July 4, 2015, according to the Internet Movie Database.
