Bad boy Maks Chmerkovskiy returns to ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Fans of Maks Chmerkovskiy will be happy to know he’s returning to season 18 of “Dancing With the Stars,” according to Today Entertainment. The 34-year-old Ukrainian Latin ballroom dance champion and choreographer will be paired with Meryl Davis, 2014 Olympic gold medal ice dancing winner.

Maks was offered a judging position this season but turned it down, choosing to come back as a pro dancer. Although he’s competed on “DWTS” for 13 seasons, Maks has never won the mirror-ball trophy. He says part of the reason he’s decided to return and try again is because he’s been partnered with Meryl Davis.

“I got (Meryl Davis) and said, ‘OK! That’s why!’ We’ll see what happens. I’m very grateful to the show."

Maks’ quick tongue has gotten him into a bit of hot water with the judges over the years, most notably Carrie Ann Inaba. One thing is certain... the talented, hot tempered, handsome professional dancer will make for some interesting “Dancing With the Stars” watching this season.

Tune in for the season premier on Monday, March 17.
