The theme for Eat the Street Mililani this Saturday is Bacon. Just the thought of bacon makes some people salivate. Others enjoy the smell of bacon. This Saturday will be dishes served that include bacon, a fantastic reason to get to Eat the Street Mililani!
There are over 40 food trucks and vendors, craft booths, live music and entertainment, keiki fun zone, free parking shuttles and much more scheduled to be at this Eat the Street Mililani event. This event will be at the Mililani Town Association (MTA) Recreation Center 7 and Mililani Ike Elementary.
Bacon is typically a cured product prepared from the side or back cuts of pork. It is an amazingly versatile ingredient that can be smoked, boiled, fried, baked, or grilled. Sometimes, a similar product is made from other meats, like beef, lamb, chicken, goat, or turkey. Quite popular recently is the turkey bacon, which generally contains saturated fat than the typical bacon.
One of the food vendors that will be at Eat the Street Mililani is Papa’s Dog Pound. Featuring their new Slaw Dog, which is either the Pit Bull Chili Dog topped with homemade slaw or the Akita Dog with the slaw. Mouth watering!
