That’s right, BaconFest is back! This is the annual fundraiser for Dad’s Garage and this year it’s Saturday, March 31st 1p to 6p. This outdoor festival is an unbridled bash and it runs rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Dad’s Garage is a not for profit theater, comedy and all around hilarious showplace that will do your heart good to support, despite the high cholesterol snacking.
Count on nonstop entertainment like four awesome local bands, hilarious carnival games manned by the best improvisers in the city, and troughs of cold beer and sizzlin' bacon. And all sorts of awesome entertainment, like a drunken spelling bee, the crowning of bacon king and queen, a succulent silent auction, and even a slow smoked whole hog for those of you that want to put in a little extra to really pig out.
Three ticket levels available, but buy early. Last year BaconFest tickets sold out and there were none available at the door.
Portioned Porking ($25 online, $35 phone/door): For the average Joe, new to the bacon guzzling world. This pass gets you admission to the festival, 5 carnival game tickets, and 3 cups full of food/booze--your choice whether you fill your 3 cups with beer, bacon, or both. You can purchase more beer and bacon at the festival.
Bottomless Bacon ($45 online, $55 phone/door): For the professional piggy, this pass gets you admission to the festival, unlimited game playing, and all the beer and bacon you can stuff in your stomach.
Whole Hog! ($85 online, $95 phone/door) Wheeling in a whole pig roasted to perfection by P'cheen (trust us, those boys know their BBQ), several kegs of specialty beer, AND, you even get your very own BaconFest 2012 tee-shirt. All this on top of the unlimited beer, bacon, and games. There are a very limited number of these passes available, so snatch them up quick before somebody else gets their greasy little snout on them.
This event is for adults only, no young children or dogs and parking is tight, so take a cab, MARTA, or carpool.
Inman Park is one of the awesome neighborhoods we tour on Atlanta Culinary Tours.
