The Bacon and Beer Festival first kicked off in Boston four years. The fest quickly gathering a bacon-loving following with tickets to this year's event selling out in three-minutes. Since it's premiere in Boston, the festival has expanded to Denver. San Francisco will be the first West Coast stop.
San Francisco's inaugural Bacon and Beer Festival will be held at the Fairmont Hotel Sunday afternoon, 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets start at $50. The festival will feature bacon creations from over 25 Bay Area chefs, and beer from more than 20 local breweries. All piggy products will be supplied by locals, Zoe's Meats.
Yes, you will be pushing yourself closer to that inevitable heart attack with a day of bacon, but it will help out a worthwhile cause. A portion of all ticket sales will benefit Sprouts Cooking Club, a local organization that creates restaurant apprentice programs for youth in the Bay Area.
