After 17 years and 130 million albums sold, the Backstreet Boys are no longer signed to Jive Records. The Boys' website calls the split 'amicable,' and quotes member Brian Littrell as saying, "This is the best thing, at the best time that could have ever happened for us. We are confident in the future of our band, and are looking forward to the new things to come. 2011 is going to be a great year for us!”

There is no word on what record label the Boys will be signed to in the future.

The Backstreet Boys are scheduled to perform at the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal City Walk on June 26. Tickets are still available.
