Backstreet boy Nick Carter finally popped the question to Lauren Kitt, as he told People that he had the wedding ring in his pocket for two weeks.
He later added "I was like, 'I don't want it anymore!' It was driving me insane. I just wanted to get it out of my hands and on to hers."
Also according to People his original plan to pop the question while on a boat to the Florida Keys didn't go as well as he planned.
"My boat was in such bad condition because I hadn't used it for, like, six years. It took me five days literally on my hands and knees, scraping up my body [to fix it,]." Carter later added "The engine wasn't complete yet but we still decided to go out."
After later arriving on a small island, Carter got down on one knee and asked Kitt to marry him. He told People "She said, 'Yes,' and I'm, like, 'I don't know what to do. She said, 'You're supposed to put it on my finger.' So I did. I was in shock."
The couple has not yet announced the official date of their wedding as they have just started breaking the news to their friends and family.
