The beautiful Natasha, from Julep (known for its trendsetting runway colors) gives us the inside scoop on a very special, custom made color that Julep created for Dennis Basso's 30th anniversary show last week. Julep created this unique color that's a combination of grey and silver, because Dennis Basso's collection incorporates a lot of greys and this custom made color is the thread that connects the whole collection together. The custom made color for Dennis Basso's Fall 2013 show is similar to Julep's Harley, a liquid silver metallic chrome shade.
Per Natasha, Julep's new Freedom Top Coat was used (on top of Dennis Basso's custom made nail color), which extends the life of a regular manicure. Julep’s Freedom Polymer Top Coat quickly dries under regular light in three to five minutes, is smudge-proof, and prevents chipping for approximately five days longer than regular top coat, leaving nails with a gel-like shine (but the gel-removal hassle). Supposedly, any nail polish remover works, and there's no need for painful gel removers or soaking hands in nail-weakening acetone. This is perfect for backstage too, so models can quickly change into hair, makeup, wardrobe and get out into runway.
