It appears that Alberto Del Rio is gaining more heat backstage with his peers. According to a Wednesday February 15th report by The Wrestling Observer, many WWE wrestlers feel that Del Rio doesn't deserve the push that he is getting. Additionally, the complaint about Del Rio is that he carries himself backstage as if he's better than others. He's viewed as a major player in backstage politics.
WWE officials are high on Del Rio due to his heritage, looks and skills. Vince McMahon believes that Alberto can be a huge superstar if he just becomes more aggressive in the ring. Del Rio has been absent from TV due to an injury he sustained last December. Del Rio tore his groin and is not yet medically cleared to compete.
Del Rio has grown up in this business and comes from a family of stars down in Mexico. His backstage political skills come from a lifetime of pro-wrestling education and experience.
