ELIE TAHARI
Date: Wednesday February 15th
Makeup: Romy Soleimani and Stila Cosmetics for Beauty.com
This is what Romy told us backstage: The look for Elie it's kind of easy, it's a smoky, soft slate gray eye and basically what we're doing is depending on the girl's look is we're popping the eyelid a little bit with either a sparkly teal, sparkly navy or a violet depending on the look and it's a great easy way to take a neutral and just give it a litte pop of something fun, the rest of the make-up is very neutral.
Hair: Esther Langham and Alterna for Beauty.com
Inspiration: “Tahari’s collection reflects real women and tailored pieces that can be found in their closets. I was inspired by this, and wanted to contrast the collection’s structured silhouettes with a natural, not overly-done hair style. Whether worn down or lightly pinned up, this look can easily translate from day-to-night.”

Inspiration: A modern, but slightly twisted ,schoolgirl at an all-girls college. “The look was kept ‘undone’ to reflect her eccentric personality,” explained Pita.

« While hair was wet, Orlando applied Phyto Professional Intense Volume Mousse and blew dry hair (without brushing it so it maintained a piecey, textured look) with T3 Featherweight Luxe
« Using the T3 SinglePass Whirl Professional Styling Wand, he curled hair at random to create messy waves giving the illusion of naturally curly hair
« He back combed at the roots for height while spraying Phyto Professional Workable Holding Spray and then parted hair on the side
« Orlando then pinned hair at the nape (like you would a ponytail) while he criss-crossed the bobby pins to keep them hidden
« Finally, he tucked hair under so the ponytail wasn’t visible; the finished look looked like a bouffant
