Backstabbing never pays off and it made for entertaining television to see Sean Lowe recognize and address the catty behavior immediately rather than letting a bachelorette linger, sending Kacie B. packing last night, Jan. 21, on “The Bachelor”.
Last night’s airing of “The Bachelor” began on a high note with Sean Lowe beginning to have feelings for some of the 16 women left, however after the dates were declared, a group and two one-on-one encounters, the claws came out and the dating drama began.
Lesley M. enjoyed the first date with Sean at the Guinness Book of World Records where it was revealed that Sean Lowe’s father had set the record for driving all 48 contiguous states in the shortest amount of time: 97 hours and 7 minutes.
Sean’s date with Lesley M. set another Guinness World Record with the longest on screen kiss, beating the current world record of 3 minutes 15 seconds on Hollywood Boulevard, sealing Lesley M.’s fate with a rose.
The group date then pitted 12 bachelorettes vying for alone time with Sean in a game of beach volleyball. The six losers went back to the bachelorette pad and the six winners had a romantic evening alone with the “Bachelor” followed by the typical catty drama that inevitably led to Kacie B.’s departure.
“The Bachelor’s” Sean Lowe has said from the beginning of Season 17 that he is looking for his best friend, a genuine, good hearted person and he thought he may have been able to explore that with Kacie B., cast off from Ben’s season of “The Bachelor”. The two met in New York and became fast friends and Kacie B. entered this season as a contestant hoping to act on the sparks she felt from that encounter. However, one catty, backstabbing move sent the bachelorette home.
In an effort to gain points with Sean Lowe, Kacie B. thought it proper to inform the current “Bachelor” of a potential situation between Amanda and Desiree. Sean’s reaction was not positive, immediately questioning Kacie’s motives. Even though the bachelorette appealed to Sean’s heart prior to the final rose ceremony, Lowe felt their relationship had been altered.
Being the gentleman that he is, Sean took Kacie B. aside as the rose ceremony began. In honor of their past friendship, the “Bachelor” didn’t want to make her wait through another agonizing final rose ceremony, telling Kacie B. there would be no future for them, sending the sullen bachelorette packing with regrets. Backstabbing in any relationship never pays, breaking the bonds of trust and ruining friendships.
“The Bachelor” with Sean Lowe airs Monday evenings on ABC.
