Back to school: lunch box ideas for vegan kids

The Healthy School Lunch Campaign and other advocacy groups have been urging schools to offer vegetarian and healthy lunches to students instead of pizza, fried chicken, tater tots, french fries, candy and sodas. Until a change is made and vegean options are avaliable, vegan parents and students will need to pack a lunch every day.

With Manhattan public schools starting back on September 8th, here are 40 lunch ideas to make planning for the school year a little bit easier:
