As you head out this weekend to do your last minute back to school shopping for supplies, haircuts and shoes, why not go shopping for some helpful and fun back to school information too? You can at the Whole Foods Back to School Safety Day.

When: Sat. Aug. 23, 2014, 12-3 p.m.

Where: Whole Foods, 2955 Kirby Dr, Houston, TX 77098

At the Whole Foods Back to School Safety Day, find out how you can arm your family with health and safety education for the back to school season. Visit with the local Police, Sheriffs and Fire Dept. as well as CPR information and healthy cooking demos. Sat. Aug 23, 12-3pm.

The Houston Fire Department, Houston Police Department and Harris County Sheriffs office will be providing important safety information to parents as well as offering finger printing services. Their Healthy Eating Specialist, Gigi Ochs, will be doing cooking demos and Gabrielle Hankamer Welch, author of “The Pizza Trap: Every Mom's Guide to Breaking Children's Dangerous Food Addictions, Ending Mealtime Battles and Building Healthy Habits for Life,” is available for a book signing. Finally, the American Heart Association will be there teaching CPR.
