Speaker of the House, John Boehner said “We fought a good fight, but didn’t win.” He still doesn’t get it. The fight was not about goodness. It was about evil, hate, and being hurtful.
John Boehner and House Republicans brought nearly as much shame and disgrace to America as when radical extremists once left the Union. Many of those same states are on the list where their Senators and Congressmen risked the economic security of the nation for mindless ideology that doesn’t bear value and worth.
The nation needs leadership who will inspire 6 million American geniuses and equip them with capital to invent our way forward. It is about citizens selecting and electing people to office who will guide and manage the transformation of the nation from fossil fuel dependency to renewable energy. It is about citizens rallying to produce a sustainable economy that is away from the wrath of capitalism that is unsustainable as we have known it.
The President’s signing a bill to keep America’s government open is a blip moment in history. It is not something to celebrate that we merely kept the doors open or reopened them as it were.

After shutting down the U.S. government for 16 days and driving the nation toward the brink of default, a chastened Congress voted late Wednesday to reopen federal agencies, call hundreds of thousands of civil servants back to work and raise the $16.7 trillion debt limit.
An agreement struck by Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) ended a stalemate created last month, when hard-line conservatives pushed GOP leaders to use the threat of shutdown to block a landmark expansion of federally funded health coverage.
