Bachmann making Biblical values her campaign foundation

No doubt that Iowans are hoping that Michele Bachmann might be the next Ronald Reagan.  Especially after the horrendous week on Wall Street and America’s the first ever credit downgrade.  According to Politico, Michele Bachmann took, “4,823 votes out of nearly 17,000 cast. Ron Paul was a close runner-up, taking 4,671 votes and trailing Bachmann by less than 200 ballots.”

But Iowa isn’t the only place where she seems to have gained some favor.  According to Human Events, “At the Smart Girl Politics Summit, Bachmann narrowly won the first women’s presidential straw poll and Cain came in a close second.”

Founder of Smart Girl Politics Stacy Mott believes that Bachmann’s victory illustrates that conservative women see Bachmann as a true conservative who has the leadership skills to restore America to economic sanity and encourage job growth.

Even CNN is taking note of Bachmann’s growing popularity, reporting that she is, “the winner of a recent straw poll among evangelical and Christian conservative voter,” and that, “Bachmann took 23 percent of the vote in a Liberty University straw poll conducted after a two-day gathering of evangelicals at the Christian college that addressed a range of issues, including ‘abortion, the economy, religious liberty, marriage and homosexuality, [and] Sharia Law,’ according the school's website.”

Bachmann hasn’t hidden the fact that she intends to make Biblical values the foundation of her campaign platform.  An AP article at The Washington Post reported that her pro-life stance and insistence on traditional one man – one woman marriage are Biblically rooted beliefs that she sees as critical to the social stability of America.  Since she feels strongly about these and other Biblically based values, she would work to protect such values for all Americans if she is elected president.
