Bachman-Turner Overdrive tribute set to cap 2014 Juno Awards

Bachman-Turner Overdrive's induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the 2014 Juno Awards will be celebrated by a special tribute, which will close out the ceremony.

According to a news release posted March 25 at JunoAwards.ca , the legendary Canuck rockers, whose classic line up will reunite to receive the honour in their hometown on March 30, will receive tribute from three-time Juno winners The Sheepdogs, as well as 2014 Juno nominees Matt Mays, Tim Hicks and Sadies guitarist Travis Good.

The tribute group will perform BTO’s classic 1973 hits, Let It Ride and Takin’ Care of Business.

All four members of the long feuding classic lineup, consisting of Randy Bachman, Fred Turner, Blair Thornton and Robin (Robbie) Bachman will bury the hatchet long enough to accept the honour.

Previously announced performing artists includes: Sarah McLachlan, OneRepublic, Robin Thicke, Tegan and Sara, Walk off the Earth and many others, as well as an exclusive taped TV performance from South America by Arcade Fire.

Hosted by Serena Ryder, Johnny Reid and Classified, the 2014 Juno Awards will live on CTV Sunday, March 30 from MTS Centre.
