Ponzi schemes, social security, vaccinations and immigration seem to have saved Michelle Bachman from mathematical ridicule in the public forum.
In the style of Dan Quale and Joe Lieberman, Representative Bachman put one of her three feet in her mouth and it went unnoticed by most of the world. Stating that she had one foot in the private sector and two feet in government would surely be a shoe salesman’s nightmare and could have been a zinger for the press.
Fortunately for Bachman, there were enough preplanned spontaneous remarks by the rest of the candidates to overshadow this one snafu.
