In a recent interview with blogger Reality Steve, Wes Hayden attempted to clear his name after being portrayed as the "most devious" contestant in Bachelor history.
Wes believes ABC took his words and edited them in a way to make him look like the bad guy. The full interview is 85 minutes, and is available at Reality Steve's blog. Though he realizes his reputation could be affected by appearing on the show, it seems the network went too far.
After being accused of having a girlfriend, being on the show solely to promote his music career, and allegedly telling fellow contestant Jake Pavelka that was "in cahoots with" girlfriend Laurel, Wes wants to make sure everyone realizes that the show was edited to boost ratings.
In his "Diary of the Departed" clip on ABC, Wes shows a much softer side. He makes clear that he really did have feelings developing for bachelorette Jillian Harris.
"I hate it for Jillian. I hate that she has to go through this," he says. "She knew last night that it wasn't right. I could feel the vibe. I could feel the tension."
In the video, Wes says he doesn't think Jake ruined his chances. "I think that me and Jillian were either meant to be or we weren't meant to be. I really did have feelings for her. I think she's a wonderful, wonderful woman."
Wes finishes by saying he just wants Jillian to be happy and thinks she and Kiptyn would make a great match.

agreeing to go on a national tv "reality" show shouldn't mean ruin for contestants (like Wes)....ABC should be ashamed...to them it's all about the ratings. Whatever it takes to get people to tune in.
He was still a total jerk...even if they edited things he still was a total player and clearly was not there for the right reasons. His expressions told the whole story...he can blame the network all he wants but the truth is that he is slime.

Do you think Jill will still sign your CD? Funny…America doesn’t!! I think any use of her name on your web-site to promote you is a total SCAM and outright LIE and should not be USED. You have damaged her character if you tie the two of you together and she could actually sue. IE: breach of her being your FRIEND, only under FALSE pretense for personal gain.

Ibta....I agree ABC should be ashamed...We are talking about the life's of some really good people...The word says to be kind and loving...we are not to judge...someday we will judge our self... I for one do not want to look at my life and say look what you did to that person...WES and the other guys that have been hurt by this show may peace be with you...
