Six months after giving birth to her second child, Bachelorette star Trista Sutter lost 43 pounds.
In this week's issue of Life & Style magazine, the reality TV star donned a skimpy bikini on her 108-pound frame.
“It was harder to lose weight this time around," Trista says of her second pregnancy. "I gained 10 more pounds this time."
Trista, 36, said with her first pregnancy with son Max, she had gestational diabetes and watched what she ate.
With Blakesley, her second born, she didn’t have diabetes, and according to Trista, "went all out"
when it came to food.
"I ate everything,” Trista confessed. “For obvious reasons, my abs were the one area that didn’t jump right back into position after I had Blakesley."
Adding, "I’m still really focused on working on them and getting more toned.”
But on the cover, none could tell.
Trista transformed her home into a workout gyms so she didn't have to worry about leaving the kids when it came to getting her body back in shape.
Trista's trick of the trade? Making everyday spaces workout places.
“I would put a ski pole above my head and do lunges across my driveway. Max would be napping and I would bring Blakesley out and put her in the back of the minivan. It was great for me to not have the stress of packing up the kids and getting to the gym.”
She also kept up with her diet and nutrition by using tech tools. While stars like Twilight's Kellan Lutz uses a calorie counter clipped to his body, Trista used the website www.mycalorienumber.com.
“It gives you menus and you can print out what you need to buy at the grocery store. It’s really helped me because knowing your number and then knowing how much it is to walk, how much you need to strength-train, the number of the calories your burning … It’s so easy.”
So for moms on the go, Trista shows you just have to improvise
“I really believe that you shouldn’t deprive yourself - just getting a taste of something sweet keeps away that urge to binge.”
