Bachelorette” star Desiree Hartsock may have gotten her heart broken by Sean Lowe on his season of the show, but it sounds like she was quick to move on to find her own future husband on her own season. She may have fallen hard for Brooks, but it sounds like Chris Siegfried was the one she wanted. According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report published on May 16, “Bachelorette” star Desiree Hartsock decided to choose Chris in the end and it sounds like it has been the right pick.

Desiree shocked the world when she picked Chris, because he had been standing in the background for most of the season. However, she felt that he was the right choice for her. Many questioned when she knew that he was the right fit for her, especially since she seemed very heartbroken after Brooks decided to leave the show behind and go home.

However, the two have been living together in Seattle for a while, as they have been planning their wedding. But now, both of them are explaining how they knew they were meant to be and why they love spending time together. And it sounds like they knew their relationship would last after the show ended, because they have similar interests and similar work ethic.

“Chris and I always had similar interests and same sense of humor so regardless of the cameras I knew that our chemistry would go beyond the show. I find that keeping a relationship strong truly comes from validating and affirming each other. Communication is key but not just talking, it’s important to understand how your partner shares their feelings and frustrations also,” she explained. Chris added, “I knew the relationship outside of the show would work because of the conversation and similar values we share aligned.”

It sounds like they are on the same page. They have not released their wedding date to the world, but one can imagine they are planning their wedding to be featured on the show. Chris Harrison will often ask people if they want to get married for an ABC “Bachelor” special. What do you think of them getting married? Are you surprised that they have overcome the odds and are still together, despite the track record of the show?
