While Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski face rumors that their relationship is on rocky ground (the couple denies infidelity rumors and says they are still doing great), life goes on for the guys Jillian booted early from The Bachelorette.
Wes Hayden recently invited a group of friends from the show to his hometown of Austin, including Tanner Pope, Michael Stagliano, David Good and Jesse Kovacs.
"I loved hanging out with the guys. We had a great time,” Hayden told PEOPLE.
The weekend included a trip to Lake Austin Spa Resort for some, while all the guys hit local bar Ranch 616 to catch up on life after The Bachelorette.
In light of the recent allegations against Ed Swiderski (two women told the press they had relations with him during filming), Hayden said he "had no clue whether Ed had a girlfriend" while they were on the show.
“But if it’s true, I feel really bad for Jillian," he said. "I don’t know what to believe to be honest with you. I feel bad for Jillian and for Ed. But if in fact he was doing what everybody’s been saying, then man up and deal with it.”
“I have a hard time grasping that any of the show’s intentions are genuine,” he continued. “If Jillian and Ed and their relationship is truly genuine, if she honestly came on the show looking for love and thought that she found it and then found out that it was all made up and Ed was cheating on her, then that’s awful.”
But he’s moving on and focused on his music career, still pushing his first album Full Circle.
“I’m not dating anybody; I’m way too busy right now,” Hayden said.
The musician is touring with his CD Full Circle and trying to repair his music career after damaging allegations that he went on The Bachelorette while having a girlfriend back home. Hayden denied these allegations, saying producers edited him in a negative light.
"But you know, if I meet the right woman, I’d like to settle down someday,” he said.
